E-MAP Back Pressure Dampener Canister

Back pressure is an important parameter to log, but mounting a sensor directly to the pressure source can distort readings and shorten sensor life. A dampener canister reduces exhaust pulses and pressure spikes that could otherwise damage the sensor or cause erratic readings. It also isolates the sensor from heat and moisture, which are equally harmful to pressure transducers.

Each dampener canister is CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished with a black anodized coating. The canister is packed with stainless steel wool, and both ports are protected by fine stainless steel mesh filters to prevent debris from reaching your sensor. An O-ring seals the tank to the top mounting bracket, which is assembled with stainless steel Torx button head cap screws.

AN-4 to 1/8″ NPT fittings are available as an add-on from the drop-down menu.
