We learned that the hard way.
Before this version existed, we tested two different billet midshafts from reputable companies.
• One broke after 3 passes
• The other broke after 12 passes
Both were “billet.”
Both were “upgraded.”
Neither survived repeated 1.4x–1.5x 60ft launches on a 1000+ HP drag car.
Stronger material alone wasn’t enough.
The problem was spline size.
Most aftermarket billet shafts use 26mm splines — same basic architecture as stock.
Even in better material, 26mm splines cannot survive repeated shock loads at 4-digit power.
So we did something different.
We partnered with Gatz to engineer a completely oversized solution.
That’s a 31% increase in diameter.
More engagement.
More surface area.
More shock resistance.
More survival under violent clutch hits.
This isn’t an upgraded stock shaft.

If you do not have a 24x Racing carrier, this midshaft will not fit.
You must select the proper options.

Since we increase from 26mm to 34mm splines:
• Your existing passenger-side axle hub must be cut
• Machined
• Replaced with our oversized hub top
• Professionally welded
You must have this hub top installed for the shaft to work.
If you prefer us to handle it:
• Ship your full passenger-side axle

• Remove clamp & boot and ship just the hub (saves on shipping)
